This Privacy Policy explains how the Petal app ("Petal", "the app", "we", "us") handles

information. Please read it together with the Health Disclaimer in section 11.

1. SUMMARY

- Petal has no account and no sign-up.

- Petal has no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no tracking.

- Petal does not collect, upload, sell, rent or share your personal information.

- Everything you enter stays on your phone, in the app's private storage.

- Petal does not use the internet and does not request the internet permission.

- Petal does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, files,

  calendar or phone number.

- You can delete all your data at any time.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER (STORED ONLY ON YOUR DEVICE)

When you use Petal you may choose to enter:

- Period dates, period length and cycle length

- Flow, symptoms, mood and notes

- Fertility information you choose to log

- Events you add to the event planner

- Your first name or nickname (used only to greet you inside the app)

- Your goal (for example track my period, avoid pregnancy, get pregnant)

- Your settings and choices (for example buddy, outfits, petals earned, theme and app icon style)

This information is used only inside the app, on your phone, to show your calendar, predictions,

insights, tips and settings. It is saved in a local database in the app's private storage, which

other apps cannot read. We never receive a copy of it.

Health information such as period, fertility and symptom data is sensitive. Because Petal keeps it

only on your device and never sends it to us or anyone else, it is not collected or processed by us.

3. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do not collect or receive: your name, email address, phone number, precise or approximate

location, contacts, photos, files, audio, camera data, advertising ID, device identifiers,

usage statistics, crash reports or any health data. We operate no servers that store your data.

4. SHARING AND THIRD PARTIES

We do not share your information with anyone, because we never receive it.

Petal contains no advertising networks, analytics tools, social media plug-ins or other

third-party services that process your data.

The only third party involved is Google, which distributes the app through Google Play and

provides the Android operating system. Google handles your Google Play account, downloads,

payments (if any) and updates under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

5. DEVICE BACKUP BY ANDROID

--------------------------------------------------

Android can back up app data to your own Google account if you have "Backup" turned on in your

phone's settings. Such a backup is created and controlled by Android and Google under your own

account and settings, not by us, and we cannot see or access it. You can turn it off in your phone's

settings. If you restore a phone from such a backup, your Petal data may be restored with it.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETING YOUR DATA

Your data stays on your phone until you remove it. You can:

- Edit or delete any entry inside the app.

- Delete everything: open Petal > Me > Settings > Privacy & data > Delete all data.

- Uninstall the app, which removes the app's data from your phone.

Because we do not hold your data, we cannot access, export, correct or delete it on your behalf.

If you contact us about your data, we will confirm that we hold none.

7. SECURITY

Your data stays in the app's private storage on your phone and is protected by Android's app

sandbox and by your phone's own screen lock and device encryption. Please keep your phone

protected with a screen lock and keep your Android system up to date. No method of electronic

storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Petal is not directed to children under 13 and we recommend it for people aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Parents or

9. YOUR RIGHTS AND PRIVACY LAWS

Depending on where you live (for example the European Economic Area and UK under the GDPR and UK

GDPR, California under the CCPA/CPRA, or India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act

2023), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or move your personal data, and to

withdraw consent.

Because all your data stays on your own device and we hold none, you can exercise these rights

yourself inside the app (see section 6). We do not sell or share personal information, and we do

not use it for advertising, profiling or automated decisions.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may also contact your local data

protection authority.

10. INTERNATIONAL USERS

Because your data never leaves your device, no personal data is transferred between countries by us.

11. HEALTH DISCLAIMER

--------------------------------------------------

Petal provides estimates and general wellness information only. It is not a medical device, it does

not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a form of birth control or

contraception. Predictions can be wrong, especially if your cycle is irregular. Always talk to a

doctor or other qualified health professional for medical advice, and do not rely on Petal alone to

avoid or achieve pregnancy.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

--------------------------------------------------

If we change this policy, for example if a future version adds a feature that uses your data, we

will update the "Last updated" date above, publish the new policy at the same web address and

describe the change in the app's update notes before the feature is released. We will not collect

new types of data without first updating this policy and the Data safety section on Google Play.
